Joanne - after Joanne K. Rowling, world-famous for her «magical» Harry Potter novels. As the first publisher feared that boys would be reluctant to read books written by a woman, it only used the initials J.K. instead of the female first name. This is why we dedicate snapdragons to Joanne K. Rowling, because it is believed that they protect against evil magic - and therefore also against backward publishers.
